| Job Description / Duties |
Our Bristol based client, a major player in power generation has a requirement for an experienced High Voltage (HV) Electrical Projects Engineer to work on projects throughout the UK
Extensive experience of Distribution High Voltage Schemes is essential for this role.
Working with the Project Manager you will be involved in:
Co-ordinating activities during the pre-delivery phase to allow projects to commence to construction meeting the required timescales, safety, quality and environmental standards.
Establish a portfolio programme of works and manage the various department interfaces to deliver such works
Coordinate completion of Environmental Impact Assessments and communicate findings to all relevant parties
Coordinate planning consents and provide support and information to assist. Communicate findings and impacts to affected departments
Communicate Basic Engineering portfolio requirements to clients and internal Engineering Dept, agree timescales, monitor, and review and coordinate delivery. Works could include feasibility studies, engineering documentation and outage planning across multiple departments.
Obtain all relevant consents working with client legal and environmental depts.
Coordinate the procurement of long lead items of plant to meet delivery timescales, specifications and budget.
Completion of capital expenditure forecasts and financial risk assessments on a portfolio of projects at pre-delivery stage.
Create and maintain project forecast costs. Monitor actual costs versus forecast and take action where necessary.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients at various levels across multiple departments
Preparation of Draft Project Delivery Strategy
Completion of income/cost plans following approval of Draft Project Delivery Strategy.
